JANUARY 20TH, 2021
"Resolutions:
So many will fail; NOT because they didn’t set goals,
but because they didn’t set behaviors. "

-Steve Maraboli
We are halfway through January...how are those resolutions going?

If the first word you uttered was explicit, I feel ya. Change is hard. Change is even more difficult when it is by choice and not a forced reaction to something that is out of your control. If you're rocking the resolution train, Congrats!
If you've fallen off and are laying on the tracks, that's just part of your story.
You still possess the ability to be successful.

I have set countless resolutions in my time, some stuck, some not so much. And like many of you, I have one for 2021. If you also have a goal in pursuit of change, please keep reading. If you have not put to task a need for change, skip ahead and sign up for WINTER SNOLF! I triple dog dare you.

TO MY FELLOW RESOLUTION'ERS
Three ways I am exploring resolution.
I recently purchased the book Do One Thing Differently by Bill Hanlon. After reading through the first few pages [provided by the Amazon snapshot] I thought it a good idea to know what the rest of the book says. I'm sure if I make it through all 200 pages, bits and pieces will spill over into this weekly newsletter. Sorry...not sorry.

Write more.
Dear Diary, I have chosen to add you to my daily habits. I have committed to jotting down positive ideas and happenings from my day. I will confess that one full entry stated "Can't talk. Binging Yellowstone." But I still took the time to write it down, so I consider that a victory.

Care more.
I've enhanced my self-care routine. Less sugar...more face masks, etc.
PSA - Applying a sheet mask and quietly standing behind a small child while waiting patiently for them to notice you, may induce harsh responses [screaming/crying]. Sheet masks are scary.

Our habits are merely an expression of our intentionality. I encourage each of you to carve out new behaviors and habits that will aid the personal or professional transformation you desire. After all, "your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change."
- Jim Rohn

Thanks for reading...now scroll down and sign-up for WINTER SNOLF! [wink]
Be mindful. Find joy. Believe in kindness.
