Traveling Story Walk

Join the Plainfield Public Library, Plainfield Police Department and Plainfield Park District for the final StoryWalk of the season August 9. For each event, there is a craft that goes with the featured story and a frozen sweet treat courtesy of the Plainfield Police Department! No need to register. This event is FREE!

The Plainfield Park District is holding a public forum seeking input to its American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan. The meeting is set for 6:30 to 8 p.m., August 10 at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center, 24550 W. Renwick Road in Plainfield. Please come to the meeting and/or participate in the survey.

PARC CLOSED August 14-15

The Prairie Activity & Recreation Center will be CLOSED Monday and Tuesday, August 14-15 for maintenance on the gym floor. In-person registration will remain open 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The building will resume normal hours August 16. The gym floor will remain closed through August 18.

Trial Classes

If your child is uncertain about the style of dance they prefer, these 30-minute trial classes are the perfect opportunity to discover what style appeals to them before committing to a multi-week session. Trial classes are offered for poms, hip hop and tap, 5:30 to 6:45 p.m., August 22-23 at Streams Recreation Center.

Cruise to Village Green

Once a month during downtown Plainfield's Cruise Nights, stop by the pavilion at Village Green for special activities, crafts, giveaways and fun!
