Academic Development of a Training Program for Good Laboratory Practices in High Containment Environments (U24 Clinical Trials Not Allowed) - This program consists of the continued development and implementation of a certified, academic training course for instruction in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in a Biosafety Level (BSL) 4 High Containment Environment.

Cummings $30M Grant Program -- Funds a variety of local causes, especially those related to human services, healthcare and social justice.

Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Centers -- Awards designed to develop or strengthen programs that focus on, and sustain progress in, a key area of aging research.

Modern Equipment for Shared-use Biomedical Research Facilities: Advancing Research Related Operations (R24 Clinical Trials Not Allowed) -- Invites qualified academic or research institutions to apply for funding to support the purchase of advanced equipment that will enhance and modernize research operations.

George M. O'Brien Kidney National Resource Center (U54 -- Clinical Trial Not Allowed): Join a consortium that is leading a nation-wide effort to advance kidney research.

National Coordinating Center for the George M. O'Brien Kidney National Resource Centers (U24 Clinical Trial Not Allowed): The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) invites applications for the George M. O’Brien Kidney Consortium — National Coordination Center (NCC) to lead a nation-wide effort to advance kidney research.

GraphPad Prism Software: Annual License Renewal and Signup
If you have a GraphPad Prism license through the Research Computing Core, it's time to renew. Annual licenses expire each year on August 31st, but the new license is available now! To prevent a break in service, request a software license through the ERIS Research Computing Core Service Catalog. The annual fee is $40/license. More information about Prism, and other software offerings are on the ERIS Research Computing Core site.
LabArchives Summer Maintenance
The LabArchives servers in the US will be updated beginning 12 AM, Sunday, August 14th. It is estimated that this will last 3 hours during which none of the LabArchives services (ELN, Inventory, or Scheduler) will be available on the US server only. In-app messages will be posted for users so they can plan accordingly. All services will be available on the UK, EU, and Australian servers during those 3 hours.
Discount Biorender Licenses
BioRender is a web application that can be used to create scientific figures, diagrams, and illustrations from a scientifically accurate image library, all in a matter of minutes. Discounted licenses are available through the Research Computing Core.
ChemDraw
ChemDraw is a powerful, yet easy-to use, tool for producing chemical and biological drawings. You can create your own drawings or use those provided in the library of available templates. This is a subscription service with an annual fee.
