Representing FM at FMA HoD

Ten FAFP members participated in the Florida Medical Association's (FMA) 2024 House of Delegates meeting August 3-4 in Orlando, representing the interests of Florida's Family Physicians. The most notable achievement was gaining the FMA's support of future legislation that would invalidate non-compete contracts for physicians, a legislative priority for the FAFP over the course of the last few legislative sessions. A special thanks to the FAFP Delegation as listed below: Drs. Diana Twiggs (Chair), Liudmila Buell, Lupita Gallardo, Dennis Mayeaux, Lolita Ontiveros, Brooke Orr, George Smith, Trishanna Sookdeo, Natasha Verma, and Hailon Wong. Also pictured are FAFP champions Drs. Rebekah Bernard, Ajoy Kumar, and Sergio Seoane.

How Green is Your Travel?

Most of us love to travel. But travel’s “dark side“ is its environmental cost:  the carbon dioxide and other pollutants created from the fossil fuels burned for travel by air, land, or sea. The Green Travel Guide from the Florida Academy’s My Green Doctor offers ways to calculate and reduce your travel carbon footprint.
