Renewal. You probably think of the word more commonly with a subscription service for a newspaper (do they still exist?) or a magazine. You've signed up for service and now the time has come where you have to decide whether you are remaining a customer or moving on. Do you really read it? Are the rates increasing? Have you had a good or bad experience? How you answer will either make you renew or cancel your service. 

So let me ask you a question: Have you ever felt that way about God?

For some men God is almost like a magazine subscription. They sign up for the "service" but they never read. Maybe they associate a cost to it that is higher than they are willing to pay? Maybe they had an experience that they chalked up to being a bad experience with God rather than a choice they made along the way?

CRISIS....RENEWAL

When men walk through a season of crisis they enter into a time of renewal. It's kind of like the end of a race. You're beat. You stop running and catch your breath. The weight of the event being over has settled into your mind and you are slowly beginning to regain your composure. As you reflect it is either a thought of accomplishment or a thought of disappointment. 

Renewal is an important season for a man. He refuels. He refocuses. He decides to change some things. He either decides to remain or he decides to move on.
