Many scholars consider writing books for general audiences but don’t know where or how to begin. We hope you will join us Wednesday, October 2, 2024, as two full-time narrative nonfiction authors present insider knowledge on trade-list writing, including how a trade-list book differs from an academic volume, acquiring an agent, getting a book deal, how to research the market, and refining a topic into a saleable one. Click here for more details about this professional development webinar.

Please join the RSA on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, for a conversation about the weekly bills that chronicled plague and general mortality in London from 1603 to 1752. The Death by Numbers project aims to transcribe and publish the information in these bills in a dataset suitable for computational analysis. Get more information and register for the event on this webpage.

RSA members who have applied to present a paper at RSA Boston 2025 are invited to submit an application for travel, diversity, and onsite care grants. Each grant has a separate, short application with different requirements. The application portal will close Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Don't forget to send in your nominations by Monday, September 30, 2024, for the 2025 Paul Oskar Kristeller Lifetime Achievement Award. This award honors a lifetime of uncompromising devotion to the highest standard of scholarship accompanied by exceptional achievement in Renaissance studies.
