Outback is a high-quality summer experience for families who value creativity, culture, and community. We specialize in building community through creative explorations and strive to strike the perfect balance of structure and freedom for a safe, enriching, and fun summer. Outback is for rising Kindergarteners (must be 5 years old at the start of the program) through rising 6th graders.

Snacks/Meals: Families are asked to send their child with a morning snack and lunch. If this presents a challenge for your family, don’t worry. We will work with local resources to provide breakfasts, lunches, and snacks to families in need. Outback provides a healthy afternoon snack for children in Extended Day, and we often provide fresh fruit or popsicles on hot days.

Field/Beach Trips: Outback will visit Singing Beach in Manchester-by-the-Sea on Thursdays during weeks 2-7. There will not be any beach trips weeks 1 and 8. There will also be a mix of other field trips and on site special events throughout the summer.

Age Groups: While there are times when all ages are together, Kindergarteners do most of their activities separately from the 1-6th graders. 1-6th graders are often split into two groups based on age for activities, but there are many opportunities, including recess, to play together as well.

Outback is committed to being accessible to families from all income levels. We offer full and partial scholarships based on income and family size, and accept childcare vouchers. Instructions to apply for a scholarship are below, but if you have any questions, our staff is here to help.

Upon enrollment, you will be asked to pay a deposit of $100 per week of regular day enrollment, and $1 per week of extended day enrollment, per child. This amount is deducted from your total balance. The deposit is nonrefundable and nontransferable. If paying by ACH or check, you must submit an ACH form or check postmarked or delivered within three business days of enrollment. Submitting later may result in forfeiture of your child’s spot in the program.

Full tuition payments must be made no later than May 1st, 2024. We will contact families with an outstanding balance after that time, but failure to pay by this deadline may result in forfeiting your deposit and your child’s spot in the program.

How to apply for financial aid: Upon checkout during online enrollment, please use the SCH2025 discount code if you are applying for a private MLBCC scholarship, or VOU2025 if you have a childcare voucher. Scholarship applicants can download the application here and submit their completed form to Registration by May 1st. Please allow a few weeks for us to collect and process scholarship applications. You will be notified via email when your application has been processed.

Families with childcare vouchers should email registration@agassiz.org to complete their confirmation of provider form.

Enrollment Instructions

Online Enrollment Portal

Registration opens online on Wednesday, March 13th at 8PM. We strongly recommend registering using a desktop or laptop computer, as our registration site has had occasional technical issues when accessed via mobile devices. When we open registration, the website will have a high level of traffic. If you experience issues, please be patient and try again. If you find that a session is full, we strongly encourage that you join the waitlist. We often have openings and pull from the waitlist.

STEP ONE: If you're new to our programs, you will need to create an account before you can register. If you already have an account, you can login after you click Checkout. Otherwise click the Create New Account button on the login page. We recommend checking to make sure you remember your account login information or creating your account before registration opens. Please contact registration@agassiz.org if you have issues logging into your account. Please do not make a new account if you can avoid it.

STEP TWO: When you're ready to enroll, select "Outback Summer Program" from the classes menu. This year, there will be separate enrollment options for Kindergarten and 1st-6th grade. Please enroll your child in the correct class for their age group. When you've found the session(s) and schedule options you want, click the "Register Now!" link. Clicking "Register Now!" will put the course in your shopping cart. Then click Continue Shopping to select another class, or click Checkout.

Enrolling in Extended Day

There are separate classes for “Regular Day” and “Extended Day.” You must be enrolled in Regular Day in order to enroll in Extended Day. If you are only enrolled in Extended Day, you are not officially registered for that week of Outback. Please double check the weeks and dates in your cart, as it can be difficult to make changes to schedules if you enroll in the wrong weeks.

STEP THREE: After you've completed our account registration form, you will be taken to the payment page where you can pay your fees. If you are planning to apply for a scholarship or have a childcare voucher, please apply the code SCH2025 or VOU2025 at checkout. If you will be paying by check or ACH, please select the "Pay Later" option at checkout and submit your ACH Form or check payment within three business days of enrolling to secure your enrollment. (See Enrollment Options & Tuition rates for more information)

STEP FOUR: All children must have a completed and signed permission form on file to attend Outback. If your child has an allergy or medication, they must have signed and completed Medication Consent and Individual Health Care Plan forms on file. All completed forms are due May 1st.

CIT Registration

More information about the CIT program can be found here.

We will open CIT 2024 enrollment online on March 27th at 8pm. Please complete the online registration first to select the session and shift your child wants to participate in. Be sure to register for only one shift and one session. Your child should be available for the entire session.

Within 2 weeks of registering online, participants must complete the student application and caregivers must submit a permission form. Spots will not be secured until these steps are completed.
