Registration Open for 117th Presbytery Meeting | Presbytery of the James will convene the 117th meeting in person at Union Presbyterian Seminary's Early Center and via Zoom at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Reports and other meeting details are available online. Lunch may be ordered in advance. The deadline to order lunch is June 13 at 2 p.m. The deadline to register for the meeting is June 17 at noon. | |
Disaster Relief Ministry Tackling Camp Project Wish List | |
The presbytery's Disaster Relief Ministry is turning its talents to projects closer to home this summer. Led by Brown Pearson, the group is seeking volunteers to help with construction, building, painting, plumbing, and electrical updates at Camp Hanover. Work is planned for select Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in June and July. To sign up, contact Brown by email or phone (804-347-8895). | |
Application Deadline Coming Up for Synod Grants | |
Synod of the Mid-Atlantic awards grants for projects that support disaster relief, hunger action, presbytery initiatives, African American initiatives, new and small churches, peacemaking, and more. Applications are reviewed twice per year, in August and February. Submit your proposal by August 1 for consideration. | |
