The 2024 Maryland Statewide Digital Equity Summit will convene digital inclusion advocates from across the state to discuss critical issues, share best practices, and collaborate on solutions for bridging the digital divide in Maryland. Maryland Digital Equity Champion Awards

The Maryland Digital Equity Champion Awards recognize individuals or organizations that have demonstrated exceptional work advancing access to reliable, affordable internet, digital skills, and appropriate devices throughout Maryland. A special awards ceremony honoring Maryland's Digital Equity Champions will take place on October 15th as part of the 2024 Maryland Statewide Digital Equity Summit.

Nominees will meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated innovation in addressing and solving digital inequities
  • Demonstrated dedication to serving communities and target populations who are most in need of digital inclusion services
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and willingness to share their best practices with other digital inclusion service providers 
  • Utilized core principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in their work
  • Demonstrated the use of data and evaluation to shape digital inclusion programs and share best practices
  • Engaged in sustainable work that can be scaled and replicated by others
