Servicing Community

Brett Maresca, executive director of the Downtown Davis Business Association, offered high praise for Healthy Davis Together, the joint project between UC Davis and the city of Davis. In addition to a vigorous COVID testing program, it aimed to support the business community.

Bloomsburg University and Town Gear up for Block Party

Block Party, the unofficial and unsanctioned harbinger of spring in Bloomsburg, is headed to town this weekend. University and town officials announced measures they're putting in place in hopes to mitigating the party's impact on the general public.

Council and University Partnership Going from Strength to Strength

Durham County Council and Durham University have been working together for the good of the county for decades, and first signed a MoU in 2017. Now the council and university have refreshed and strengthened the MoU to reflect current opportunities.

UW-Madison: UniverCity Year Seeks New Local Partners

This three-year partnership connects a Wisconsin city, county, municipality, school district, other special purpose local government, or coalition of groups that includes local government with UW-Madison resources to advance community priorities.

It has been a month since policy-makers patched together a quick fix to prevent the university from having to cut 2,629 on-campus students from its enrollment. This situation stands out because for a moment it seemed like almost everyone was poised to lose.
