The 4C Coalition New Mentor Training

 

This training is designed to train prospective mentors in the basic knowledge & skills needed to build an effective mentoring relationship with their Mentee. This 6 Hour training is meant to be informative and fun- you will gain a better understanding about the 4C Coalition Mentor program and what  it takes to mentor one of our Youth. 


The 4C Coalition  is recruiting mentors. Mentored youth spend fewer days in detention, are more likely to stay in school and report better relationships with their families than their peers.  YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
MENTOR REQUIREMENTS:
  • Desire to be a positive role model to a Youth
  • Must be at least 21  
  • Complete Application Packet & References
  • Consent to a WA State Background Check
  • Complete a New Mentor Training

ONGOING EXPECTATIONS:

  • Mentors make a 1 Year Commitment to youth
  • Mentors keep   contact with their youth weekly
  • Mentors  Meet face to face with youth Bi-weekly
  • Mentors update Coordinator/ 4C Staff Monthly
  • Mentors Attend Quarterly Mixers &/or Seminars
