Fall Intensive: Informed Opioid Prescribing is a 1-day seminar meant to allow physicians to meet their education requirements under the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure's Rules, Part 2610, Chapter 2, Rule 2.1, which states that "for every Mississippi licensee with an active DEA certificate, five hours must be related to the prescribing of medications with an emphasis on controlled substances." This requirement renews every two years.
