On June 7, the Wisconsin State Senate unanimously passed Senate Bill 222 to establish a Pre-Disaster Flood Resilience Grant. If passed by the Assembly and signed by the Governor, the bill will create state funding to conduct local flood vulnerability assessments and implement wetland and floodplain restoration projects to mitigate future flood damages.

WI Salt Wise staff, interns, and volunteers connected with Madison residents and music lovers at the annual Marquette Waterfront Festival on Sunday, June 11.
