We are excited to share that plans for the REGION 3 CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW are moving forward for 2021. Dates will be July 4-10, 2021 at Reno Livestock Events Center, RENO, NV. We will be having two days of Last Chance Qualifying classes on Sunday, July 4 & Monday July 5. Region 3 Championship Show will start on Tuesday, July 6 and continue through Saturday, July 10, 2021. MARK YOUR CALENDARS and let’s all look forward to the return of a GREAT Region 3 Champion Show in 2021!

We are looking forward to hosting our Coast Classic Show this year. Our show dates are Friday thru Sunday, June 11, 12, & 13, 2021 at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds in Watsonville. We hope you will be able to join us this year. Show planning is underway with updates to the class schedule that will hopefully offer something for everyone.
Gold Coast AHA will be hosting two All-Breed Schooling Shows this spring on Sundays, April 25 and May 16, 2021, at Thorson’s Arena in San Martin. These shows feature English classes in the morning and Western classes in the afternoon along with lead-line, halter, and ranch horse riding. Nothing is more important than the health and safety of everyone in our community. We will be initiating whatever safety protocol is recommended at that time to ensure a safe equine competition.
Gold Coast AHA will be hosting trail rides, youth day activities and clinics in 2021. We are looking forward to being able to schedule our events, get together again and provide fun events for everyone to enjoy their wonderful equine companions. As the CoVid directives within our county are updated, the events will be calendar and posted on our website and social media pages.

THE IDAHO HORSE PARK has spent much of 2020 making improvements to the facility. IHP is amazing to work with and we are pleased to announce that we will be back in Nampa in 2021.
As many of you know, the operations crew at the Horse Park is busy even during the winter months getting ready for the next show season. The yellow panels in the arena have been an icon from the beginning. In 2021, the yellow panels will be replaced with newly updated tan panels. For up to date information on the show, Follow us on Facebook and bookmark our website.
RV RESERVATIONS FOR 2021. If you had a paid RV reservation in 2020, it has been forwarded to 2021. If you do not need the reservation, please call the Idaho Horse Park at 208.442.3335 and cancel so that someone else can use it. If you need to make changes, contact Louri Grover Louri.Grover@spectraxp.com.

JOIN THE CLUB! Just a reminder that a current AHA Membership with a Competition Card is required for participation in all AHA Events. Many of the AHA programs are discounted to members who belong to local clubs. AHA Voting Delegates are determined by local club membership. Your local club is your voice. Contact the Region 4 club nearest you for more information on membership, and for specific rules, regulations and deadlines at AHA.

free to all who want to attend. Make sure to join us for a fun and informative virtual clinic this weekend.

Proceeds from the rides will benefit Detroit Horse Power. Detroit Horse Power is a 501c3 nonprofit founded in 2015. It’s mission is to provide opportunities to urban youth in Detroit to connect with and learn about/from horses. They learn how to care for them, ride them and in doing so, the children learn perseverance, empathy, responsible risk-taking, confidence and self-control.

APAHA Humanitarian Award
Congratulations to Region 16’s Mary Trowbridge of Trowbridge Ltd., in Bridgewater, CT, on her recent honor APAHA Humanitarian Award. Mary’s tireless work with the Arabian Horsemen’s Distress Fund (AHDF) to assist others within the Arabian horse community during their time of need is inspiring and humbling. A well deserved recognition to a horsewoman who helps!
CRAA Ranch Riding Clinic
The Connecticut River Arabian Association will be hosting a Ranch Riding Clinic with Deb Witty on August 1 at Sloane Training Centre in Southington, CT. Ranch Riding competitions measure the ability of the horse to be a pleasure to ride while being used as a means of conveyance from performing one ranch task to another.
Deb Witty is the owner and trainer of High Country Training in Ellensburg, WA. A lifelong Arabian horse owner, she is a licensed official for AHA, USEF, NRHA, and NRCHA and is an Arabian Working Western Alliance board of director.
The Arabian Horse Association will be offering the first ever Arabian & Half-Arabian Ranch Horse Championship Show from September 4-5, 2021, at The Ranch in Loveland, CO.

Region 17 Championship Horse Show will be held June 20 – July 4th, 2021 at the Westerner Park, Red Deer Alberta. The plans are in the works to make this an even bigger and better show than last year. The host hotel, The Sandman, has offered to keep their rates from 2020 into 2021.
Because of the border closures we are having an “all Canadian Judges panel” which will include: Pam Zimmerman, Terry Johnson and Janet Henderson in the main ring; the Sport Horse Hunter judge will be Connie Dorsch and we are finalizing the Sport Horse Dressage judge.

will be held July 14 – 18th in Chilliwack British Columbia
