Reflections
Dr. Josh Levisohn

As an Orthodox Jewish day school, Farber proudly promotes Avodat Hashem (service of G-d) as the first of our Core Values. Every other value flows from the fundamental idea that we strive to serve G-d by living a life of commitment to Torah, Halakhah and Mitzvot.

In order to further enhance our commitment to Avodat Hashem, to inspire our students, to develop Judaics related initiatives, and to continue to ensure that halakhah remains at the core of what we do as a school, the Board and I have decided to add the position of Rav Bet Sefer at Farber. Our Rav Bet Sefer will build relationships with our students inside and outside of the classroom, will give shiurim to the community, will decide when and how we ask a formal shailah of our poskim, and will serve as a role model for all of our families.

We are very excited about this position (please see HERE for a bit more about the job description) and want to make sure that we find the right person for the job. We have already begun to talk with people in our network of contacts and have just begun to publicize it more broadly.

Please feel free to share this job description broadly. If you have someone who might be a good candidate, please reach out to me directly.

An impactful Rav Bet Sefer can help the school go מחיל אל חיל, from strength to strength.

Wishing you a great day and a freiliche month of Adar.
