To approve motion to fund and replace our well

It is necessary to replace the Redeemer well. We have exhausted all of our alternatives and the DNR will now only accept the replacement of our current well to meet clean water standards.

We have been awarded a $16,000.00 grant to apply, upon satisfactory completion, to the cost of drilling and installing a new well and capping the old well. Quotes currently show that Redeemer must fund about $22,400.00.

To give ourselves a reasonable cushion in the event of unforeseen circumstances, we ask the congregation to approve funding for the full cost of the well up to $40,000.00. This will be achieved through a line of credit, the use of current reserves, or a combination of these methods.

If you are unable to attend but want to vote, please contact the office for an absentee ballot.

Dare to Dance Again

Easter Season Series

“Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning.”

— Psalm 30:5b

As Easter people, we are called to dance our dances of freedom for all the world to see–even and perhaps especially in times of great difficulty. Dances of hope. Dances of justice. Dances of love. During this season, post-resurrection stories point to the joy of living in the beloved community and extending that fellowship through our witness as we dare to dance again!

Redeemer UCC Walking in Milwaukee’s 20th Anniversary Pride Parade

Dear friends:

Registration is now open for the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Wisconsin Conference UCC, to be held Friday, June 7, through Sunday morning, June 9, at Green Lake Conference Center. The Annual Meeting theme, “Where God Is Still Speaking: Listening in New Ways,” echoes the “God Is Still Speaking” marketing campaign launched by the UCC two decades ago, and conveys our UCC spirit of openness and wide welcome and our understanding of God’s extravagant love. The 2024 Annual Meeting will focus on our collective listening – to one another, to those beyond the church, and especially to the Holy Spirit, as we discern together new ways of living out the gospel in changing times.

Register today to attend Annual Meeting 2024.

Our Annual Meeting keynoter will be the Rev. Shari Prestemon, the UCC’s acting associate general minister and co-executive chair of Global Ministries, the shared witness of the UCC and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Shari is a longtime friend of the Wisconsin Conference, having previously served as conference minister in Minnesota, where she helped establish the Damascus Project, the joint educational ministry of our conferences.

Andra Moran and Christopher Grundy will return as worship leaders, joined by Bryan Sirchio, pastor of McFarland UCC. Andra, based in Nashville, is a songwriter, singer, author, worship designer and freelance touring musician. She sings and writes full time and works part time on the staff of Woodmont Christian Church in Nashville as creative director and worship pastor. Christopher, a UCC pastor, is professor of worship and preaching and dean of the chapel at Eden Theological Seminary and is a leader in progressive Christian worship music. Bryan is the author of The 6 Marks of Progressive Christian Worship Music, which explores the theology behind this new genre of worship music. He was a co-founder of the Convergence Music Project, an all-digital source of music and liturgical resources.

We encourage you to arrive at Green Lake on Thursday, June 6, for the Intensive Workshop led by the Rev. Dr. Cheryl Lindsay, the UCC's minister for worship and theology. The workshop, titled “Engaging Worship Planning: Revelation, Response, Resources,” will use liturgy, lecture, discussion and reflection to help participants engage the foundational principles of worship, create and curate rituals and resources, and discover and share best practices. Separate registration is required for Thursday’s workshop. Register today.

Click here for additional details about Annual Meeting 2024, including information about pricing, lodging, meals, vendor opportunities, and a new drop-in day camp at Daycholah Center.

We look forward to seeing you at Annual Meeting 2024.

The Conference Team

Calling all Volunteers & Social Justice Workers!

Have you been curious and interested in the role that Redeemer UCC played last year to welcome, educate, and support two Rohingya Refugee families to SE Wisconsin? Do you want to discover and exercise more of the spiritual gifts you’ve been given by the Divine?

If so, please join us as we get ready to welcome another group of refugees, along with the help if co-volunteers like us, from 5 other UCC congregations in the Waukesha District.

This year 2024, our commitment to the two families will run for 6 months, from the end of April to the beginning of November. The time-commitment will be flexible to suit your schedule. You will be working alongside other volunteers, getting to know them better too, as you spend time with the refugees. Be prepared to be inspired, jazzed, energized and greatly appreciated in this ministry of Hospitality and Welcome!

If you want to know more, please reach out to Marty Davis, Anne Matthews, Debbie and Steve Hecky, or Linda Graebner-Smith.
