Greetings!

Please note this is the last Sunday for our summer schedule. Next week, September 8, we will be returning to three services at 8:30 am (Traditional), 9:45 am (Contemporary), and 11:00 am (Traditional). Faith Formation, Confirmation, and the High School classes will also return to meet at 9:45 am. Table Talk (adult class) will shift their time from 10:15 am to 9:45 am.

Sunday, September 1 – 15^th Sunday After Pentecost

Come and hear God’s Word and share in the Lord’s Supper. We worship at 9 am and 10:30 am. We will livestream both services. On Monday we will also post a video of just the sermon. In worship this week we will hear Jesus’ challenge to determine what we value most. Come and worship! All are welcome!

This week we need a reader at the 10:30 am service.

Sacred Ground circles beginning in September

This will be the third year for Redeemer to host the series consisting of 10 monthly sessions to study and discuss race and faith. If you are interested in joining or learning more about Sacred Ground, please let the church office know by email before September 8. Feel free to invite others who may not be Redeemer members but who may be interested!

Metro D.C. Synodical Women’s Organization’s “Welcome Back” Convention

The Metro DC Synodical Women’s Organization (SWO) has invited the women of our congregation to their “Welcome Back” mini-convention on Saturday, September 21, from 8:30 am to 2 pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Springfield, VA. Registration is free. If you are interested in going, please sign up here by Saturday, September 7.

Faith Formation — September 8

Faith Formation, Confirmation, and the High School Class will resume September 8. All students need a new registration each year. Registration is now open. Families can register online, or physical forms will be made available at the Kids' Corner table in Crossroads on Sundays before and after services. “God’s Work. Our Hands.” ELCA Day of Service — September 8

Join us for an afternoon of fellowship with Sunrise of McLean Village (next door). We will be meeting at Redeemer at 1:15 pm. We will be playing games, engaging in a knitting/crochet circle, and doing crafts with the residents. Please reach out to Tricia Engle or Grace Howie if you are interested in participating.
