Welcome to Redeemer Life!
| |
|
Fall is in the air, and the Holy Spirit is alive and well at Redeemer. If you haven't yet had the opportunity to join us for Sunday morning Worship (8:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.) and Growth Hour (9:15 a.m.) -- you are missing out!
It is difficult to put the feeling into words... But until you join together with fellow brothers- and sisters-in-Christ in Redeemer's Worship Center or in one of our many Growth Hour classrooms, the full impact of God's presence here at Redeemer is hard to explain. He is felt boldly and reflected so clearly in the faces of the children, youth, and adults.
We encourage whole households to join us in the Worship Center, whether you are a family of one or ten. We love to see friends and families sitting together.
This said, we have a full schedule of family and community events as we launch into October, so please grab your calendar and take some notes as you read today's newsletter. Thank you for joining us on our mission -- living out the Word and healing ministry of Jesus in community with God and each other.

A Message from Associate Pastor Drew Bayless
|
Happy Friday, Friends!
This Sunday, we gather in the Book of Hebrews as we enter the fall season with our Beauty and Creativity series.
This week we will hear stories about how God humbled Himself, dwelling among His people -- becoming fully human in Jesus. We will look at His relationship with the Israelites and understand how God's desire has always been to be in proximity and in relationship with us.
The words of the author of Hebrews remind me of words spoken by a philosopher from Denmark, Soren Kierkegaard:
"Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards."
Please listen to my Friday message to learn more, and join us on Sunday as we dive deeper into God's gifts of Hope, Faith, and Grace.
In Jesus' Peace,
Pastor Drew

Lutheran Women in Mission League-2023 Programs
|
Women of all ages, we invite you to come to our Lutheran Women in Mission League (LWML) Bible studies and share warm fellowship and conversation. We meet one day a month.
LWML activities at Redeemer include the Christmas Shoebox luncheon, making banners for Baptisms and First Communion participants, and hosting the annual Seder meal for youth participating in the Rite of First Communion.
On the first Sunday of each month, visit our kiosk in the Redeemer lobby to pick up a LWML magazine or take home a mite box. You can fill the little take-home boxes with coins and return them on the first Sunday of the next month. The coins (mites) support many mission passions such as Christian Education, seminary support, provision of physical healthcare supplies to people in need, and more as we serve as the hands and feet of our Lord Jesus.
For more information about meeting times and locations, please call the Church Office at (509)926-6363 or connect directly with Marcia Tracht at (509)993-9205.
