Welcome to Redeemer Life!

With Redeemer Vacation Bible School just a little more than two weeks away, today's newsletter is devoted to important reminders about how you, your family, and your neighbors can get involved.

Before we dive into our announcements, however, please enjoy Pastor Drew's Friday Message.

A A Message from Pastor Drew Bayless

Happy Friday, Friends!

This Sunday, we will be in the Gospel of Mark. In Mark 4, Jesus crosses the Sea of Galilee on a boat with His disciples. It is evening, and Jesus goes to the back of the boat to nap. A huge storm hits as He sleeps, and His disciples are scared. They wake Jesus up and ask for help.

Jesus commands the storm to "Be quiet. Be still!" And the storm calmed.

Jesus asks the disciples why they are so scared. "Do you have no faith?"

This miracle marked a turning point for Jesus and His disciples. It changed their relationship. The disciples finally understood that Jesus is the Son of God.

This Sunday, we will ask the questions -- "Who is Jesus?" "Does He have the power to calm the storms in our lives?"

Please listen to my message for the full story.

We gather for Traditional Worship at 8:00 a.m. and Contemporary Worship at 10:00 a.m. Our 10:00 a.m. Worship is livestreamed at https://redeemeralive.org/live/

I wish you a blessed weekend,

Pastor Drew

We are thrilled to announce that registration for Redeemer Vacation Bible School 2024 is now open!

This year's theme: NOTHING

Nothing, as in NOTHING, can ever separate us from God's love.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." ~ Romans 8:38-39

Join us July 8-12 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. daily.

Redeemer Vacation Bible School is open to youth ages 4 through the 6th grade.

A staffed nursery is available to volunteers with children ages newborn to 3 years old.

Seeking Vacation Bible School Snack Sponsors

VBS SNACK DONATION

As we prepare for our largest community event of the year—Redeemer Vacation Bible School 2024—we are actively recruiting Snack Sponsors!

We appreciate our Snack Sponsors, who allow us to feed hundreds—sometimes thousands—of kids throughout the week.

While it may not be obvious, Snack Time is an important part of our Vacation Bible School program. Just as sharing in conversation over a meal is an important part of family connection and fellowship with friends, enjoying snacks with friends at VBS is equally meaningful for both the kids being served and those doing the serving.

We are asking for monetary donations so that we can maximize your contributions by purchasing snacks in bulk.

You can make a donation in any amount online HERE. You can also drop a check in the offering plate on Sunday or mail it to Redeemer at 3606 S. Schafer Road, Spokane Valley, 99206 (with VBS Snacks written in the memo).

Redeemer is asking for VBS snack underwriters for the following items:

Teddy Grahams………………….$375

Rice Krispies………………………………$250

Goldfish Crackers………………………….$375

Fruit Snacks……………………………..$150

Otter Pops…………………………………..$100

Grapes…………………………………..$75

Juice Boxes……………….$500

Popcorn……………………………$50

Hot Dogs and Hot Dog Buns………………………….$300

Thank you for your generosity and for supporting Redeemer's ministries. If you have any questions, please call our Church Office at (509)926-6363.
