Sponsor Spotlight: Concierge Photography by Alex M. Wolff
Our annual Academy Awards Night Fundraiser is coming up on February 9th. This fun-filled evening includes a buffet dinner, wine bar, Oscar Bingo, ballet contest, a huge raffle, Ice Cream personally served by Rick and Cathy Mueser of Herrell's Ice Cream, and our Red Carpet Contest sponsored by Concierge Photography by Alex M. Wolff.

In gratitude, we are pleased to bring you the following message from our Red Carpet Contest sponsor:

CAC members and guests undoubtedly love a good story, and Alex tells his clients stories through photos and video. With an eye developed over many years since receiving his first camera, a Kodak Hawkeye Instamatic, he continues to pursue his passion and create beautiful images using the most current cameras and digital tools. Visit his online portfolio at
https://alexmwolffphotography.smugmug.com/AAA/ and see his story with no words.

Alex is one of the most sought-after red carpet, step and repeat, and event photographers on Long Island, which may explain why you can get your own Red Carpet photos captured by him at the CAC Academy Awards Night Fundraiser. Perhaps you have one waiting from a prior year at  https://alexmwolffphotography.smugmug.com/Current-Proofs/Cinema-Arts-Center-Academy-Awards-Night/ .

The Long Island Hospitality Ball at Crest Hollow, raising money for The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, has some great examples of large gala photography.  https://alexmwolffphotography.smugmug.com/search/?q=baldwin&c=photos#i=0

A photographer for LongIslandMatchmaking.com, some of Alex’s favorite sessions include personal branding photos. PB is a category inclusive of head-shots, actor and model portfolios as well as social and dating profile pics of many styles. Enjoy some of them here https://alexmwolffphotography.smugmug.com/Headshots/Head-Shots/

Couples seek out Concierge Photography for proposals, engagements and of course, weddings. We do beautiful maternity, newborn and family portraits, from birth through all life stages (confirmations, mitzvahs, sweet sixteens,…) family reunions and retirement parties.

Alex performs or supervises all work performed by Concierge Photography. He hosts album design meetings with his newlyweds to ensure their album matches their design, and is just one of the personal touches that separates Concierge from other providers. Rather than only offering a single style of his own, Alex listens to his clients and delivers images to match their chosen style, telling their stories.

You can reach out to Alex for all your photography needs including commercial, product, food, aerial (drone), boudoir, even underwater!

Thank you for an amazing campaign!!
It costs over $7,000 a day for the Cinema Arts Centre to provide all of our community programs, daily screenings and events, and to serve you as a vital cultural community center. We raise that money in a variety of ways - ticket sales, cafe sales, membership, grants, sponsorship, and our annual Vic Skolnick Life of Our Cinema Campaign. Our goal for our current campaign, which closes on January 31, 2020, is to raise $150,000 - which covers about 21 days of programs and operations.

Thanks to our members who choose to give an annual gift in addition to keeping their membership current, and to many other generous donors who gave to our campaign, we have already surpassed our goal! Your gifts in December qualified us to earn the full amount of our matching grant from the Alpern Family Foundation. Including our matching grant, we raised over $180,000! Thank you.

10.3% of our members made a contribution to our campaign. Whether you gave $5 or $15,000, your gift is meaningful! Your gift is a statement about your values and an affirmation that the Cinema Arts Centre belongs to all of us, and that together we make our mission possible.

While we are so grateful to have exceeded our goal for this campaign, we would love to reach 15% of our membership making a contribution. That means we need 275 more contributions by January 31. If you have not yet made a contribution to the Life of Our Cinema Campaign, please click here. A gift of any amount will make us stronger and help to ensure we can bring the best in cinematic artistry to Long Island for years to come.

Thank you!
Seat Replacement Update:

We are still working with multiple vendors to coordinate the dates for seat replacement in Cinemas 1 and 2, but the project is moving forward. We will update you all with firm dates as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.
The Cinema Arts Centre is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. The mission of the Cinema Arts Centre is to bring the best in cinematic artistry to Long Island, and use the power of film to expand the awareness and consciousness of our community.
