Greetings!

It's July 1st! We are officially halfway through the year and into the heat of the summer! ☀️

It's always a good time to dust off that annual plan of action and see where you are in your company or organization, if you are on target or need to make some adjustments to your plan. Your Chamber has been diligent with our plan and continue to stay the course. We have gotten into some great new things (part of the plan!) including our new podcast series and our Member2Member Benefits program. You don't want to miss out on getting involved and taking advantage of these great member deals that become effective July 15th! While you are going through the benefits and exploring the member app, listen to either of our podcasts that are available on YouTube and Spotify. If you have ideas on issues you would like us to discuss on future episodes, please drop me a line or call the Chamber office with your ideas.

It's election year and the Guam Young Professionals has its much anticipated YOU DECIDE Legislative Forum scheduled in the next few weeks. You will get to hear from senatorial hopefuls about the issues they are passionate about. The Forum will take place over the course of two scheduled days: one would feature republican candidates and another featuring democratic candidates. The Chamber is working on details for a gubernatorial forum before the general election, so be sure to keep an eye out for details in your email, coming soon! If you have been reading these newsletters you will know that the Chamber has been encouraging people to get registered to vote. If you know of anyone of voting age who is eligible, send them this email and get them to sign up to vote! Change can only happen when you participate in the process.

As you make plans for this Independence Day weekend, I hope that you will have a few minutes to update your calendar on some good things that can benefit you and your business by scrolling through this newsletter for news and updates. Have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend! May freedom ring from our Pacific shores in Guam, to the snow topped mountains of Alaska to the Atlantic Coast! Cheers to America!

Onward Together,

Catherine Castro
President
