Village of Whitefish Bay Official Weekly Newsletter

Message from the Village President, Kevin Buckley

The Whitefish Bay School District is a vital piece of the fabric of our village.

Please join your neighbors in attending the district's Annual Meeting this Wednesday @ 7pm, in the WFBHS Auditorium.  Voting on the tax levy, and watching the State of the District report is time well spent, and I encourage everyone to attend.

In lighter news, please join your friends for another Klode Beer Garden event, on Saturday from 2-8pm.

Enjoy Labor Day, and have a great, short week! -kb

Why Is The Village Hall Phone Ringing?

Can I place plastic bags and styrofoam in my blue recycling cart? No! Plastic bags and styrofoam should instead be placed in your gray refuse cart for collection. Please see the article below for more recycling guidelines.

When is the next brush chipper collection? Brush will next be collected by Village crews this week (Beginning September 6). Brush should be placed in the parkway between the curb and the sidewalk.

Have a question? Send us an email or give us a call at (414) 962-6690.

Community Spotlight

Bay Bridge Update:

Bay Bridge is a Community Partner with Milwaukee Film for the 2022 Cultures & Communities Festival September 14-18 for a screening of When Claude Got Shot, which includes a scene in Whitefish Bay.

Friday Sept 16 | 12:30 PM | Oriental Theatre - 2230 N Farwell

When Claude Motley is shot while visiting Milwaukee for his high school reunion, he realizes there's no escaping gun violence and the ripples of trauma it causes. When he discovers his assailant was shot only two nights later by another attempted victim and is now paralyzed, it complicates thinking of any such crime as singular. Tracing this case through the criminal justice system, this Emmy-nominated local documentary asks how and if these cycles can be broken. This MFF21 encore screening is free and open to the public.
