Recycle old toys starting today

Join EFC's Earth Month Toy Challenge!

EFC will be accepting donations of used toys, games and books. To participate, bring in your items (in good condition) to your center between March 27 and April 7.

Every family that donates will be entered to win one of the following prizes*:

  • Minnesota State Parks Pass
  • Gift Card to Your Local Nature Center
  • Outdoor Dining Gift Card

The EFC center with the most donations per child (to account for differences in size) will win funds to be used for nature-based play materials and experiences.

EFC will distribute toys to be used throughout our classrooms, allowing everyone to benefit from your collective generosity.

Toys that are not appropriate for use at EFC will be donated to children and families in need.

*Do not need to donate to win

THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF TOYS

The toy industry uses more plastic than any other industry

80% of toys end up in the trash

Most plastic toys can’t be recycled

A plastic toy kitchen is made with as much plastic as 400 water bottles

Please consider donating toys that are:

In playable condition (no broken pieces or sharp edges)

Appropriate for children birth – 6 years

We will not accept any toy weapons

Toy Donations will be accepted March 27 - April 7
