The second and final notice for Halter Futurity renominations have been sent to the current owner of record. It is the responsibility of the owner to renominate their horse(s) prior to the December 31, 2022 deadline. If an owner does not receive the renomination form, please call AHA to renew. Take advantage of lower fees and postmark/transact your renewals on or before December 31, 2021. Renewals postmarked after December 31, 2022 may be subject to late fees or additional fees.

For Achievement Award and Amateur Achievement Award renewals, please submit your renewal prior to your first competition of 2023.

You can renew on-line or by submitting the completed form with payment to AHA via fax, US Mail or email (pdf format). You may also contact the AHA office at 303-696-4500, option #4 and renew over the phone.

In Utero Foal Application Deadline The deadline to enroll your in-utero as a Breeding Entry or in the US and/or Canadian Halter Futurity Program is December 31, 2022. Enrollments can be processed on-line here or you can complete and submit the application.

Remember, in order for a foal to be eligible to be enrolled as a Breeding Entry, either the sire must be enrolled as a Nominated Sire or the mare must be enrolled as a Nominated Dam. A sire or dam that is only enrolled as a Breeding Entry does not qualify the horse as being eligible to be enrolled in-utero as a Breeding Entry.

Every fourth Breeding Entry enrolled in the same year by the same owner by be enrolled at one half price. The discount applies to each submission of at least four entries submitted at the same time by the exact same breeder/nominator.

Unborn Foal Enrollment

Sweepstakes enrollments can be paid in full or placed on a Deferred Billing Agreement. AHA charges a 10% administrative fee for entries that are placed on a Deferred Billing Agreement. The first payment must accompany the application at the time of submission. Halter Futurity enrollments cannot be placed on a Deferred Billing Agreement and must be paid in full at the time of enrollment.

A Breeding Entry is the only way to earn prize money in the Arabian Breeders Sweepstakes Program.

Sweepstakes Made Simple

Foals that are enrolled in-utero in the US and/or Canadian Halter Futurity Program will need to pay a renomination fee for the weanling, yearling and two-year-old year. When the horse is 3 years old and all requirements have been met, the horse will be eligible to show in the US and/or Canadian Halter Futurity Class, depending on enrollment.

NOTE: All Half-Arabians showing in the Halter Futurity Program must have parentage DNA verified to the purebred Arabian parent on file at the AHA office before they will be allowed to compete.

For complete rules regarding the Halter Futurity Program, refer to Chapter 19 of the AHA Handbook and Chapter 18 for the rules regarding the Arabian Breeders

HALTER FUTURITY UPDATE

Horses that are not renominated in the US and/or Canadian Halter Futurity are automatically dropped from the program. However, horses can be reinstated by paying the appropriate fees.

Horses that are not reinstated into the program by the original close of entries for that show will be notified and will be given seven (7) days to buy back into the program. Horses that are not reinstated within the seven (7) days of notification of payment for reinstatement will remain dropped from the Halter Futurity Program. The horse will not be allowed to be reinstated into the program and will not be eligible to show in the Halter Futurity Class(es).

PERFORMANCE FUTURITY/MATURITY/DERBY UPDATES

The Performance Futurity/Maturity Program for Sport Horse Nationals and U.S. Nationals requires enrollment into the program in order for the horse to be eligible to show in these classes (see Chapter 20 of the AHA Handbook for enrollment dates). Nominations are allowed with an additional $750 and $1,000 late fee for Reining Futurity/Maturity/Derby up until the Final Post Entry Close date for that National Show and any Program enrollment fees (including late fees) must be paid.

Due to the increasing participation of the Ranch Horse Riding Futurity at U.S. Nationals, the class has been split. Beginning in 2023, there will be two classes, Arabian Ranch Horse Riding Futurity and HA/AA Ranch Horse Riding Futurity
