A Great Start for Rebuilding Juntos, Our Annual East End Community Revitalization Program!

Sponsored by Reliant Energy, this year’s Rebuilding Juntos celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month and our ongoing commitment to Community Revitalization in the historic East End. Since we began home repair and revitalization in 2019, we have completed construction on more than 140 homes! On September 15th, the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month, Reliant employee volunteers completed home repairs for 88 year-old resident Ms. Margaret Torres, whose home was damaged during Harvey’s storms. Ms. Torres lived with extensive damage for five years until she discovered Rebuilding Together Houston through the recommendation of a friend. She has lived in her home for over 40 years, although it was first built more than 80 years ago! We are so glad to give her the help she needed.

Rebuilding Juntos Community Celebration

Extreme Heat

We’ve all suffered through the year’s hottest summer on record. For homeowners who live without temperature control, consistent extreme heat is life-threatening. This year’s partnership with Bank of America has helped us install window AC units for dozens of our neighbors most in need, but so many more are still at risk. Your donation helps us come to the aid of even more families.
