Studio Tours and Guest Speakers Bring Realism to the Classroom...

BIM Students at WJZ with the Morning News Team.

Aside from in class instruction and field work, BIM students also enjoy field trips and recently the day class (D2'13) hit the road for not one but two field trips. The first was to WJZ-TV here in town, where they learned more about what it takes to put a news cast on the air.

Students were on hand for the "live" noon news hosted by legendary anchor Don Scott. Getting "tips" on how to break into the business and get to that "dream job" were given by WJZ's talent, including BIM Alum, Tim Williams.

The second stop was a visit to a small market, but very successful WHAG-TV Channel 25 in Hagerstown.

A BIM Education includes instruction and mentoring from some of broadcasting's most successful and influential professionals. See BIM's Guest Lectures
