Speaking Engagements and Collaborations

Melanie Mitros speaking engagement

Earlier this month, our COO Melanie Mitros delivered the opening keynote address at Marietta College's Nonprofits LEAD Annual Capacity Building Conference. She talked about capacity building - what it is, why it’s important, and how to talk about those needs at a high level. Melanie emphasized the collaborative approach needed for funders, consultants, and nonprofits to communicate capacity needs effectively without sounding alarmist, in ways that are not heard as “The Sky is Falling."

She'll also be speaking on May 20 in Indianapolis for Alliance for Nonprofit Management's annual conference: 'Grappling with Power.' She will be speaking on 'Building Ecosystems for Organizations: The Lifecycles Approach to Capacity.'
