• As a reminder, the deadline for submitting comments to the EPDP Team’s Initial Report is 21 December 2018. Due to the restrictive timeline, no extensions will be possible. Please see this announcement for further information.
  • While the Initial Report is out for public comment, the EPDP Team will discuss outstanding issues that are able to be discussed in parallel. This week, the Team discussed:
  • the Leadership Team's approach to the EPDP Team's request for outside legal advice, which will involve a sub-team/committee to review, discuss and refine questions for legal input (similar to the approach taken in CCWG - WS2). The committee is scheduled to have its first call soon.
  • the definition of "optional" with respect the publication of fields marked as optional.
  • policy impact assessment and how the Team would like to handle that in the Final Report.
  • geographic differentiation, and whether the language in the Initial Report needs to be changed as a result of recent EDPB advice.
  • The EPDP Team will hold its third F2F meeting from 16 – 18 January, 2019 in Toronto, Canada. The F2F will take place at The Westin Harbour Castle.
