1 Corinthians 3:9… “ For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.”

The work we do at Tri-Rivers Baptist Area often requires us traveling to the church field, spending time with fellow workers, church leadership and congregations meeting the needs of the church, it also requires us to work in an office setting providing multiple administrative ministry resources and we also at times pick up a tool and build/repair God’s building. This past week, we picked up our tools to help a church build a new stage with new social media/sound connections. I believe God has equipped us all to with multiple talents/skills and we should use them to build up the Kingdom of God.

This past week, we served Fairy Baptist Church installing their new stage and sound equipment and on Wednesday I was honored to assist Trinity Baptist Church in Gatesville as a judge during their Church Youth Bible Drill Competition.  It was a joy to watch these students opening their Bibles as they searched for the scriptures.

On Saturday, we were able to attend the Tri-Rivers WMU Missions

Gathering hosted by Adamsville Baptist Church.  It was amazing time of Mission Education and Encouraging us all to be On Mission for the Lord.

This week, we will be assisting a church in a nursing home ministry, working with a church on their audio/sound equipment, serving our ministry partner BSM, I will be meeting with area ministers seeking ministry opportunities and possible church plants, attending a Church Good Friday Service, on Saturday I will be attending a funeral and on Sunday I will be attending Easter Sunday Services with my family at Fairy Baptist Church

It is our joy to serve all our area churches in meeting the various needs of the church and its leadership. We are honored to be serving each church as we together serve our Lord in sharing the message of Salvation to each community. Your faithful financial support allows every church to have their ministry needs met so they can be more effective in reaching their community for the Lord. We are all One Church located in over 100 Locations serving and working Together in Ministry and in our Calling to deliver the Message of Christ Love to all.

Please reach out to us with your ministry needs as we are available to serve you 24/7. We are a “Brotherhood of Churches”.

Hello everyone, I pray you all had a great week! Please take a moment to pray for a fellow church or family as we fulfill the Great Commission together. It's all about Jesus.

(Matthew 28:19-20, Ephesians 4:11-13)

This past Sunday I sang special music with Richard at Fairy Baptist Church for their Palm Sunday Service. Following that, I led their Easter Choir Rehearsal and attended Business Meeting. Monday through Friday, I helped build Fairy Baptist Church's new stage. Saturday, I led worship for the TRBA WMU Missions Conference hosted by Adamsville Baptist Church. That evening, my wife and I hosted Hungry House Worship Night at our home.

This coming Sunday, I will be at Fairy Baptist Church for their Easter Sunday Service directing their Easter Cantata Choir. Tuesday, I will be installing sound and streaming equipment at Trinity Baptist Church Trinidad.

I am available to assist any of our area churches who need a guest preacher, worship leader, or musician, and I am available to give sound, video, and media consultations and assistance.

If you or someone you know is a Musician, Worship Leader, or Local Church Missionary, we encourage you to serve in our area Churches. If you feel led to serve in this area, please contact your Area Office at tririversdom@gmail.com or 254-865-1299.

I am here to serve you and your church and hope to meet you as my wife Josalyne and I travel around the Tri-Rivers Baptist Area.

The Tri-Rivers Baptist Area Mission Gathering on Saturday, March 23 was a blessing. I want to thank Adamsville Baptist Church for hosting us and providing the dessert. Also want to thank Rephena and her team for the meal they provided.

At the Gathering all the speakers were excellent and a blessing to hear from. Connie Dixon the National WMU President gave us words of encourage from the bible and from her own life experiences. The scriptures she used was from Romans 12:1-12 for us to have Hope in Christ. Some of the words that stood out to me were “to be transformed we need to be changed from the inside to the out” and “love is an action, where there is love there is an action.”

Chris Rowley the Christian Women/Men Job Corp Consultant for the state of Texas. There are 43 CWJC/CMJC sites in Texas, and she talked about some of the site’s leader and how God has blessed them and each of the sites. Chris talked about what the Job Corp does by providing high school equivalency diploma preparation classes, English as a second language classes, computer training, Bible study, mentoring, and job readiness skills. She finished by telling us about some of the individuals who have received training, have their GED and now are going and working full time jobs to owning their own business.

We had two missionaries come and speak at the Mission Gathering. First was George Solis with the Texas Baptist River Ministry. He talked about a ministry called Ministerio Golan were they work with the homeless in the area providing food, water, clothing and sharing the Gospel. Also, working with the

immigrants crossing the border from different countries. They share the gospel with them while they are waiting in lines and help provide essentials items they need for their journey. Some immigrants are provided their paperwork for their next stop the same day. While others it is days before they can receive

their paperwork. The Ministerio Golan provides housing for the people as they are waiting. His church (Iglesia Bautistia West Brownsville) welcomes and assist all people crossing the border. The two are connected in serving the homeless and those crossing the border.

Second, Julio Arriola who is with the North American Mission Board Send Network with Church Planters. He reminded us that wherever we are and sharing that it is all about the gospel and what God has done. He shared about Send Relief a partnership between the North American Mission board and International Mission Board. The ministry is about going out and meeting the needs of the people and changing their lives. He shared about the Send Network of sending people out into communities and churches doing church plants. Since 2010 there have been more than 9,400 church plants across the country. In 2022, Texas passed the 30 million mark for it population and at least 20 million of those people are lost. This is why churches are important to be available to reach out to the those who still need Jesus. How can you help these ministries: Pray about and for them. Learn more about them. Give to them financially. Go on a mission trip.

For Chris Rowley – CWJC and George Solis you can give to the Mary Hill Davis Offering or can give to the ministry directly. To give though Mary Hill Davis Offering: www.texasbaptists.givingfuel.com/mary-hill-davis. For CWJC can give to the Becky Ellison Endowment CWJC/CMJC endowment:

www.wmutx.org/give/endowments.

George Solis is Iglesia Bautistia West Brownsville 925 W. ST. Charles, Brownsville, TX 78520. He mentioned for support can mail a check or Little Casers, Sams or HEB gift cards. If interested in coming on a mission or vision trip can contact him by email at ibwbgeorge@gmail.com.

Julio Arriola ministries are supported through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering: anniearmstrong.com or prayforplanters.com. On the website it will show you the church plants and its information. You can pray for the church, adopt it, give to it financially and go on a mission trip to support them.

We are excited to share that our latest resource is our online learning system featuring Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry which introduces learners to six essential characteristics emulating Jesus’ ministry:

  • Go deeper in intimacy with Christ
  • Pray with passion for God’s presence and power
  • Build leaders for in-depth and long-term ministry
  • Disciple students to move toward maturity in Christ
  • Penetrate the culture through relationships
  • Create outreach opportunities to reach students for Christ

While we still offer in-person training forums, we believe the addition of individualized online training will put this invaluable resource into the hands of many more people. Because we offer the training in English, Spanish, Russian, and Swahili, it will exponentially increase our reach.

We are building on our past to influence the future. And we are giving JFYMO away free to youth leaders during our introductory period. You can learn more by visiting JFYMO.com

SESSIONS Plenary Sessions These plenary sessions are designed to encourage the attendees as well as allow them to engage in mindful discussion and pray with one another.

“God Loves Small Towns” – Pastor Chuck Gartman

Breakout Sessions These breakout sessions are designed to equip the attendees as well as allow them to engage in focused dialogue around the topic. They will run concurrently.

Mental Health & Soul Care in Small Towns – Dr. Ray Storm People are people whether in the heart of Metropolitan cities or the middle of less known places. However, common themes in soul care and pastoral counseling emerge in different places. This breakout will focus on the issues that arise most frequently in small-town Texas, as well as the most surprising things that aren't different in a small town.

Small Town Evangelism in the New Normal (Post-Pandemic) – Richard Ray & Miles Miears Things are not the same after a global pandemic. This includes small towns and communities. But one thing has not changed, the need to share the Gospel. In this session, the facilitator will challenge you to be intentional about sharing the Gospel and offer practical ways to do so in a post-pandemic world.

Being a House of Prayer – Tim Watson Jesus told us in Matthew 21:13, “My house shall be called a house of prayer”. While the local church is charged with many ministries and outreaches, first and foremost, the church must be a house of prayer. Prayer must be the engine that drives everything of significance the church undertakes. Dr. Tim Watson will share best practices that churches of any size can integrate into the DNA of their congregation to unleash the power of the Holy Spirit, see people come to know Jesus and spiritual renewal take place.

Creating a Culture of Discipleship – Sam Crosby Discipleship is not a class or program, but an ongoing process. Every believer is called to be a disciple of Christ that grows into maturity of the faith. The church is challenged to create an environment where new believers in Christ grow in wisdom and the knowledge of God. They become workers and leaders in the church. During this session, the facilitator will offer practical ways followers of Christ are to grow spiritually and discern God’s call on their lives.

Hispanic Pastor’s Session – Pastor Bob Evaul ReFocus is a church revitalization training process that provides pastors with tools to evaluate their church and restore its vitality, purpose, and health to their ministry. Participants evaluate the current state of the ministry, consider how to position it for greater impact, develop all directional aspects of the ministry, create a personal plan for making disciples, adopt a strategy for developing leaders and a personalized plan to implement it.
