Annual Surveys Due!
We are collecting information from 2017 based on your fleet's alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles, idle reduction efforts, alternative fuel station openings and fuel economy improvements. Please take a moment to fill out the survey about your fleet. By doing so, you'll help us track all of the alternative fuel usage, locations and vehicles in Wisconsin. Kwik Trip
Founded in 1965 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Kwik Trip, Inc. is one of the largest, independently held convenience store chains in the United States. Today, Kwik Trip owns and operates nearly 600 stores in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa (Kwik Star) and employs more than 18,000 people. Kwik Trip continues to grow through new initiatives, with a strong focus on food and value-priced commodities.

Wisconsin Clean Cities' top sustainable transportation leaders were honored December 12 at the Wisconsin Clean Cities 23rd Annual Stakeholder Meeting at the EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The Annual Stakeholder Meeting featured networking opportunities, presentations from leaders in the sustainable transportation arena, exhibitor tables and tours of the EAA AirVenture Museum.
Forward Fleet Award winners, honored for the amount of petroleum they displaced through the use of alternative fuels and sustainable transportation options, were fifth place Contract Transport Services, fourth place Time Transport, third place Paper Transport, Inc., second place Kwik Trip and first place Sheehy Mail Contractors, Inc.

Clean Fuel Champion Award winners, include the City of Milwaukee, GO Riteway Transportation Group, Skinner Transfer Corp. and We Energies.

BillGovernor  Walker Signs  Senate  Bill 198
Move allows vehicles with anti-idling technology, CNG fueling systems to further exceed weight limits
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker on November  30 signed  into law Senate Bill 198. The bill, authored by state Sen. Jerry Petrowski (R, Marathon) and state Rep. John Spiros (R, Marshfield), increases the amount by which vehicles equipped with idle reduction technology or fueled by compressed natural gas may exceed statutory weight limits.

The previous law allowed an exceedance of 400 pounds for vehicles with idle reduction technology. The new law allows for exceedances of up to 550 pounds. The bill also provides that vehicles fueled primarily by natural gas may exceed statutory weight limits by an amount equal to the difference between the weight of the natural gas fuel system and a comparable diesel fuel system or 2,000 pounds, whichever is less.

Considering Natural Gas Trucks For Your Fleet?

In partnership with the US Department of Energy, Penske  is offering fleets the opportunity to rent a compressed  natural gas (CNG) truck before buying or leasing. Through this program, CNG trucks are available at the same price as a comparable diesel truck. Penske ensures a smooth rental experience by providing training resources  and 24/7 roadside assistance.
