Development of Cost-Effective Rapid Setting Concrete for Improved Bridge Joint Performance

New Concrete Material

This recently completed AOT External Research Project studied Rapid Setting Concrete (RSC) that is used in our Accelerated Bridges. The University of New Hampshire project confirms that RSC performs as well as or better than traditional concrete. RSC is another available material option as we continue to design and develop innovative bridges.

National Concrete Pavement Technology Center Webinar

On April 30, 2024, Iowa State University Concrete Pavement Tech Center hosted a webinar on Concrete Pumping and Air Testing. The webinar acknowledged AOT's Concrete Materials Manager Jim Wild and his research contributions in 2016-2018 on the air entrainment of pumped concrete.
