READY, SET, LIBRARY!

NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK

Come celebrate National Library Week from April 7 to April 13, at the Rancho Cucamonga Public Library! This year’s theme is “Ready, Set, Library!"

Free services at our two locations include computers, study rooms, reference and research assistance, multimedia collections, online resources, and programs and activities for all ages.

Additional resources include:

  • The 24/7 Library is a library material vending machine that allows you to borrow materials 24 hours a day, seven days a week using your Rancho Cucamonga Public Library card.

  • HouseCalls is a free library materials delivery service to homebound Rancho Cucamonga residents. Library materials are delivered right to your door every three weeks by a caring volunteer.

  • The Library of Things (LoT) provides items for check out such as sewing machines, gardening tools, board games, bakeware, and more. This collection promotes sustainability in borrowing an item instead of purchasing it and allowing patrons to "try before you buy."

  • LINK+ provides FREE access to more than nine million titles from public and academic libraries. Borrow books and media by searching the Library's catalog and placing a request.

  • Park Passes entitle borrowers to free vehicle day-use entry for one passenger vehicle or motorcycle at over 200 participating state parks.

SEUSSICAL

WHERE IMAGINATION COMES TO LIFE

Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff, My Favorite Year, Once on This Island, Ragtime), have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo.

The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. Join us on a family fun adventure as the power of friendship, loyalty, family, and community enables Horton to triumph from challenges to protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers and to guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Get your tickets before they sell out!
