Key West Marine Park

The City of Key West and Reef Relief established the Key West Marine Park in 2001. With the management agreement with Reef Relief set to expire in January 2015, the City Commission recently passed a resolution to continue the partnership for the next five 5 years.

Key West Marine Park has provided a unique living classroom for Reef Relief to work with larger school groups. Most recently with the University of Pennsylvania students, the Sigsbee Charter School 7th grade and the St. Mary's Basilica School 7th grade.

Here students have learned about water quality, fish surveying and coral identification. Volunteers work with Reef Relief to maintain the park's buoys and distribute educational materials to the local resort guests.
