Thank you!!
We are excited to offer a Parenting for Faith course at Family Nights!
Who is this course for?

EVERYONE!!! This course is for those who influence children. It’s not just moms and dads who long for children and teens to know God for themselves. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, caregiver, family member, friend, or baptismal sponsor you can help the young people in your life develop a vibrant and connected relationship with God – whatever their age!

What does the course entail?

This is an 8-session course that uses relatable video clips followed by conversation where we will share and learn together. You will walk away with tools to use in your everyday life. “God has placed you in the lives of your children for a great and joyful purpose, and this course is purely to empower you to release and coach your children in their heart-to-heart connections with God. It will give you tools, skills and models to use to encourage your children, whether aged 3 or 43, to step into a vibrant two-way relationship with God.” (PFF Course) We don’t want you to cram more things into your already busy days. We want to show you how faith can be incorporated into your everyday interactions in easy and significant ways.

When will we meet?

5:30-7:30 pm on a Wednesday each month. This is an 8-session course. These will be held on Family Nights once a month. We will all gather for dinner together from 5:30-6:00pm. Then the kids/youth will go do a fun service project together. Following that, 7th-9th graders will do a Confirmation lesson with Mr. Chad while the children do some fun games and activities. High schoolers are welcome to come help! While the kids/youth are having fun, the adults will meet for their Parenting for Faith session.

Where will it be?

This Parenting for Faith Course included in Family Nights is 8 sessions, the first 4 in the fall will be held at the Tempe campus and the second 4 in the spring will be at the Gilbert campus. Our hope is that you attend as many sessions as possible no matter the location…as the sessions build on one another and cover different topics.

Why should I attend?

Parents are the resource God has given the kids to meet and see God in the everyday. There is no one right way of parenting for faith. We want to help you find the vision and skills that work best for you and your family. Research shows that parents spend an average of 2,000 to 3,000 hours a year with their children. These hours include the ordinary parts of life: the journeys to and from events, the mornings together and the laughing together after dinner. The church on the other hand has much less time with children per year. If children and young people show up every week to everything we offer, we would maybe see them 100 hours a year. The difference is massive! It is never too late for parents and caregivers to start parenting for faith. Our kid’s faith does not end when they leave us. We never stop parenting and never stop having a heart for our kids to know and love God.   So, join us as we explore parenting for faith together!

Looking forward to fun in this adventure!
