Burn, baby, burn!
The Benicia Community Action Council recently celebrated their mortgage-payoff with a mortgage burning ceremony.

A special celebration was held in Parrish Hall - a nod to St. Paul’s Historic Trust for financing the mortgage loan years ago. The group moved out to the church’s courtyard for a celebratory "burning" where the paid mortgage was lit on fire under Fire Department supervision.
