Are you interested in creating a print literary arts magazine? This project will enable you to work with undergraduate and graduate students and employees at RSC to curate the art and writing of our community. It also looks impressive on a resume! Award-winning Filmmaker Named

Women’s Institute Affiliate Scholar

Judith Helfand, a Sundance Excellence and Peabody Award-winning documentary filmmaker, has been named the 2024-2025 Affiliate Scholar by the Women’s Institute at Russell Sage College.

Helfand's films address topics from the dangers of PVC plastic, to reproductive technology, to the political aspects of a deadly heat wave. This year, she will collaborate on public and campus programs that explore the role documentary filmmaking plays in shaping society, shifting cultural perspectives, and amplifying marginalized voices.

Read the affiliate scholar announcement from the Women's Institute and find info on a screening of Helfand's film, A Healthy Baby Girl.

Employment, Club Partnerships, and More Opportunities with

The College Experience

The College Experience is a campus-based residential program that, in partnership with Russell Sage College and Living Resources, provides young adults with disabilities with the support, skills, confidence, and internship experiences they need to one day live independently and maintain employment.

College Experience students enroll in life skill courses on the RSC campuses and participate with college clubs, events, and intermural sports. Students are supported in their off-campus dorm, learning how to cook and maintain their apartment. Learn more about the College Experience.

Employment opportunities

Weeknight evenings, weeknight and weekend overnight, and weekend daytime shifts in College Experience residences available. Your internship requirements may also work with the College Experience. Email Director Colleen Dergosits or call her at 518-379-6519 to discuss opportunities.

Connect your club, team, or event

Are you affiliated with a club, intermural sport, or do you plan campus events? Email Community Coordinator Briana Faele or call 518-801-2056 to discuss opportunities to work together.
