ROI on PR

Often unquantifiable. The value of PR is undeniable, particularly in the franchising world.

Take Lapels Cleaners' newest franchise owners Michael and Kelli Lausen of Houma, Louisiana.

The couple will open their Lapels Cleaners later this year.

In interviewing them for a release, we learned Michael was a US Army veteran. That led to this question:

“Do you plan to do anything special for veterans and members of law enforcement?”

Michael responded that he’d seen an article online about a Lapels franchise owner and the number of things they’d done for vets, including discounts and special clothing drives for causes that support paralyzed vets.

A smile came over my face as PR Works had secured that particular article in Franchising USA and worked closely with Lapels CEO Kevin Dubois in creating the article.

“No kidding,” said Michael.

ROI: Quantifiable?

This is not to say that the Lausens purchased their new franchise due to an article. That’s undervaluing the work of Lapels VP Michael Eisner and his team. Yet it’s undeniable it’s part of the package of touches and feel-good experiences Lapels had during the courting process.
