Work accomplished in 2023 in each of RMRI's three Colorado landscapes in the Southwest, Upper Arkansas and Upper South Platte

In 2023, partners in the RMRI Southwest landscape leveraged over $20 million for planning and implementation of projects on public and private lands. Partners accounted for 13,869 acres of hazardous fuels reduction treatments in the WUI on both public and private lands. In the Upper Arkansas landscape, partners treated more than 5,000 forested acres of public and private lands, bringing the total in four years to 10,531. And in the Upper South Platte landscape, partners stood up a project planning database and can account for 78 completed projects, 37 active projects and more than 80 projects planned for implementation.
