Public power utilities across the U.S. celebrate Public Power Week the first full week of October every year to highlight the unique benefits of community-owned utilities. Here at RMLD, we celebrated by hosting our annual Public Power Week Open House, which was widely attended by community members of all ages. Thank you to everyone who came to what was our biggest open house yet.

Aside from our open house, we also hosted a successful webinar to further educate our customers on heat pumps and introduce our new weatherization rebate. As always, we had a wonderful turnout and a lively Q&A session.

In Case You Missed It: Webinar Recording Now Available!
RMLD and its contractor, Abode Energy Management (Abode), recently partnered to present a live webinar about the benefits of residential heat pumps and available rebates and incentives including RMLD’s new weatherization rebate.

We had nearly 100 participants and answered over 30 questions! Thank you to all who participated and contributed to our engaging Q&A.

Interested customers are encouraged to check out Abode’s website, which is a one-stop resource for all the information you need to get started with heat pump installation and weatherization. This includes scheduling a heat pump consultation, submitting quotes, technical guidance, qualifying products, participating contractors, rebate requirements, scheduling a weatherization consultation, and more!

Current Insights: Episode 2 Now Available!
Episode 2 of RMLD's Current Insights podcast is now available! In this episode, host and General Manager Greg Phipps is joined by RMLD Integrated Resource Analyst and resident data guru Kevin D’Silva. Greg and Kevin discuss the important role of data analytics at RMLD and how data enhances operations, improves energy efficiency, and helps ensure a reliable power supply.
Your Small Business Energy Exemption May Expire on December 31st
Any customer that registered for a small business energy exemption that is up for renewal must renew through MassTaxConnect by December 31, 2023 (provided you meet the qualifications). The Mass Department of Revenue (DOR) will be sending renewal reminders directly to small businesses with expiring certificates.

Once obtained, the small business is required to notify RMLD of the renewal. To do so, please email a copy of the certificate or the certificate number to customerservice@rmld.com.

RMLD Elementary School Art Contest Update
RMLD’s annual Elementary Student Art Contest is underway. We recently delivered free art supplies to each elementary school in our service area, and all fourth-grade students are encouraged to participate through their school. We can’t wait to see what our young artists come up with!

RMLD 2024 Historical Calendar Update!
The end of the year is rapidly approaching, which means that it's almost time for the ever-popular RMLD Historical Calendar! The 2024 version is currently at the printer and while we don't want to spoil any surprises, we can tell you that she's a beauty!

Stay tuned for updates on when the calendar will be available for pickup at RMLD and throughout our distribution locations throughout our service area.
