RISE Golf Skills Camp 2024
Want to impress your coworkers with your golf game, but not really sure how to play? Worry no more! RISE is hosting a golf skills camp for all those who are interested in learning the basics of golf.
Our stations include golf etiquette, putting, driving, and chipping.
The training at each station will be provided by local golf professionals, including professionals from SCHEELS!

Join RISE Springfield and the Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance's Thrive Allys, Tuesday, July 23, for our next RISE & Unwind event where you can connect with other young professionals in a laidback setting.

Volunteer with RISE!
Due to inclement weather, RISE's spring Day of Action project with United Way was postponed, but we are excited to announce that a rescheduled date is confirmed!
RISE's rescheduled Day of Action project will take place on Friday, August 23rd from 1:00 - 4:00pm at Adam's Wildlife Sanctuary.

Leadership Springfield Program Now Accepting Applications
Applications for the Leadership Springfield Class of 2024, which begins in September, are being accepted now and are available on The Chamber’s website.
Leadership Springfield (LS) is a 14 week series of half day programs in which participants gain leadership skills and in-depth exposure to critical issues affecting the Springfield area. Participants interact with community leaders and decision makers who share diverse perspectives on significant accomplishments and opportunities within the Springfield community.

Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on June 30, 2024. Applications will be reviewed in July and applicants will be notified of their selection status later that month. | |

RISE Young Professionals can be Fan Ambassadors for the Memorial Health Championship Presented by LRS. This is a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event on the Korn Ferry Tour, conducted annually at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield.

October 11 & 12, 2024
RISE Young Professionals will hold another professional clothing drive where volunteers are needed to accept, sort, and display clothes on tables and hangers. The event will be held in the Trutter Center at Lincoln Land Community College. More details to come!

Getting Involved with RISE in 2024
If you are interested in becoming more involved with RISE? We have several opportunities for you to join a sub-committee in 2024! Opportunities include:

Clothing Drive; responsible for set-up, volunteering the day of, and getting leftover clothing to Goodwill after the clothing drive.

Community Service; responsible for volunteering at RISE community service initiatives throughout 2024.
-
Events; responsible for planning events and assisting at events, including registration and other tasks.
-
Special Project; assist with planning details for future Leadership Summit or other special projects, and assisting at these events.
Individuals will be responsible for actively participating in the work of the sub-committee by volunteering to take assignments and other tasks that pertain to the specific mission. If interested in participating, contact rise@gscc.org.
