Preparing for the End of the Semester

November in Evansville is starting to feel like winter! Despite the cooler temperatures, the city is getting its fall colors to help inspire those final midterm exams, planning for Spring Semester registration, the upcoming break and the end of the semester.

Daylight Savings Time Change

The time changes on Sunday, November 6. Remember that we fall back one hour. Enjoy that extra hour of sleep and make sure all your clocks are set to the correct time.

Thanksgiving Break is Wednesday, November 23 through Sunday, November 27.

Thanksgiving Break Tips

  • Be flexible about plans, family time and studying. Balance commitments and family time with staying healthy and successfully finishing the semester.
  • Plan for coursework and finals accordingly after the break.

  • Disengagement (from friends, academics, family, hobbies, activities)
  • Changes in eating or sleeping habits
  • Difficulty concentrating and paying attention
CAPS offers individual and group therapy to assist students. Need to relieve stress, deal with your emotions, set appropriate goals or make healthy decisions? Make an appointment today.
How to Practice Self-Care
  • Get professional help if needed (there's nothing wrong with seeing a therapist/counselor)
  • Spend time with loved ones and friends
  • Leave one's comfort zone
  • Get physically active
  • Eat a healthy diet
  • Enjoy a hobby
  • Get enough sleep
