What's in a Name? 

The names you write on the contract must match the name that the loan is done in.  If we prequalify James Brian Smith, and you write the contract for James Smith, James B. Smith or Jimmy Smith, then we are required to re-pull our credit and re-do all our loan paperwork to match your contract.   

If you have a buyer pre-qualified, ASK the lender (hopefully Lori or Lori) what name they are prequalified under.  Normally we have already asked the Buyer how they want to sign 100 pages at closing and they have given us the legal name.  In the example above since Smith is such a common name, we like to use the middle names on a Deed, so to be on the deed ALL the paperwork must match.  Doing this upfront could get you to closing faster!  All our of goals for sure.
