May 9, 2023

We are excited to begin preparations for VBS 2023 which will take place from 6/19-6/23. We will need plenty of volunteers, so please email Camille at camille@rbcstaff.com if you are willing to serve in this way. Also, registration for VBS is now open here! (The sooner, the better so we know how many supplies to order!!) We hope to see everyone there.

Congratulations to our 2023 graduates:

  • Jonas Harrelson- Spain Park High School
  • James Vick- Hoover High School
  • Kassidi Cullen- University of South Alabama

We are so proud of your accomplishments!

We encourage everyone to complete a skills & interests form for the 2023-2024 church year. This will help us to determine where you would most enjoy serving at RBC! You can find an online form here, or hard copies are available in the foyer.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Paul House of Beeson Divinity School will be joining us as our retreat guest speaker, and Justin Cross will be leading worship. You don't want to miss this! Sign up here for the 2023 RBC Churchwide Retreat by 6/25!

An interest meeting will be held on Sunday, May 21st at 5:30 pm where more information will be given about this group. Attending the interest meeting does not mean you have to join the group- only that you are looking to learn more! 1. Ruth 4: 14-15, 17b NASB “Then the women said to Naomi, ‘Blessed is the Lord who has not left you without a redeemer today, and may his name become famous in Israel. May he also be to you a restorer of life and a sustainer of your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him. . . they named him Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.’” Father God, this story is so very amazing that only You Lord could work out such details. Imagine, this child in the linage of Jesus himself! Lord God, Your workings are far better than anything we can think or imagine. Faith, loyalty, kindness and generosity are all part of this story. Because You are sovereign in all situations we can trust You to work out the details of our lives. Help us to walk in faith even when things seem hopeless or confusing to us.

2.  Zechariah 9: 9 NASB “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; He is just and endowed with salvation, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” Father, again we marvel at Your great plan, a plan for the salvation of mankind. Thank You for expressing Your plan through prophecies, Your written word, the life of Jesus on earth and Your Spirit’s revelation to us. Yes, we rejoice greatly!
