"God, give me the conviction and courage to be like the heroes of Hebrews 11. Teach me not to hold onto those things in my church that are my personal preferences and style. Show me not only how to let go, but where to let go, so that I may heed Your commands more closely."
1. John 19: 17-18a NASB “They took Jesus, therefore, and He went out, bearing His own cross, to the place called the Place of a Skill, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha. There they crucified Him.” Father God, even when we try to imagine the awfulness of the crucifixion of our Lord, we cannot. The measure of Your love is beyond our comprehension. What is my response to You? How much do I love You?
2. Mark 16: 5-6 NASB “Entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at the right, wearing a white robe; and they were amazed. And he said to them, 'Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified, He has risen; He is not here, behold, here is the place where they laid Him.'” Father God, He has risen! This week we are celebrating this good news with renewed excitement and thankfulness. The message these women received that early morning has brought joy and hope to our lives. Thank You Father for this Easter time! We worship You!
