"God, give me the conviction and courage to be like the heroes of Hebrews 11. Teach me not to hold onto those things in my church that are my personal preferences and style. Show me not only how to let go, but where to let go, so that I may heed Your commands more closely."
1. Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14 NASB “The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.” Father God, even when our desire is to do good, we often realize that our humanity has slipped in and we have sinned. Would You make us more aware of the times when our actions, motives and desires are contrary to Your commandments? Lord, prick our hearts and help us to courageously obey You.
2. Psalm 37:37 & 39 NASB “Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright; For the man of peace will have a posterity. But transgressors will be altogether destroyed; The posterity of the wicked will be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord: He is their strength in time of trouble.” Father God, how we praise You for making us righteous. You declare us righteous because of what Christ did for us. Apart from the blood of Jesus we have no righteousness within ourselves. Thank You Father. We praise You!
