Tosh Sheridan
Tosh Sheridan is a guitarist and composer working and living in New York since 1998. Tosh earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music in 1998. Dr.Yuri Feynberg
Author of the book The Child of Gulag and Founder & Executive Director of Life Adjustment Center, Dr. Yuri Feynberg, was born and raised in Russia.  In 1970, he graduated from Leningrad Pedagogical Institute (currently, St. Petersburg Pedagogical University) with a MA in Special Education and Speech Pathology. There he worked as a special education teacher and speech therapist and later as a Principal of Residential School for 450 children with developmental disabilities. Rebecca Feynberg
An accomplished singer, songwriter, pianist and performer, Rebecca has completed both the Music Industry and Music Production concentrations. In 2010 she received the Thomas H. Keane Scholarship from the Garden State Arts Center Foundation. She spent Fall 2010 studying in London at Middlesex University. As a graduate student at New York University's Steinhardt School, she continues to pursue a career in music technology while continuing her creative work as a songwriter and performer.

Voice of Asia

The Astana Opera will debut in New York City on Monday October 27 at 8 PM in the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. The program entitled "Voice of Asia" will include a special selection of Kazakh folk songs, solos from operas by Kazakh composers Zhubanov-Khamidi, Rakhmadiev and Mukhamejanov, arias from operas by Rossini, Verdi, Bernstein, Offenbach, and Borodin, and the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto featuring brilliant young violinist Erzhan Kulibaev.

Conductor: Abzal Mukhitdinov.


Cleve Douglass
Improvisational jazz vocalist Cleve Douglass began his vocal training in classical (operatic) vocal technique, then studied and worked in musical theater, which eventually led him to his passion: jazz and scat improvisations. His multi-cultural recordings embrace the styles of Bossa Nova, swing, Afro-Cuban, electronic, and standards from The Great American Songbook. After extensively touring and performing in Japan, Cleve brings an air of sophistication and retro-nouveau sensibility to a number of bands in New York City, appearing on dates at the Blue Note and NBC's "The Today Show."

Cheryl Benton

Cheryl Benton is the founder and publisher of The Three Tomatoes (www.thethreetomatoes.com) a lifestyle guide newsletter and web site that celebrates "women who aren't kids." Cheryl is passionate about the rights of women and girls around the world, and is on the board of the US National Committee for UN Women, an organization that is improving the lives of women and girls everywhere.



Karen Nason

Karen Nason is the owner and founder of  a cool Cafe and music venue called "Hoboken Hothouse" in Hoboken NJ. www.hobokenhothouse.com. It is a space in Hoboken with a Garage, Cafe, and outside Garden that hosts events and live music.  Karen Nason has been a singer all of her life, and been in many shows throughout her career. She owned and operated a great Jazz Bar and plant and flower shop in Chelsea for over a decade.  Karen has worked with Bill Kerby, the writer of "The Rose" with Bette Midler to develop for Broadway as a "Rock n Roll musical.  This work is currently in development.
