Spring into Santa Fe With Katie Pasquini Masopust! Warm up and get creative with From Watercolor to Quilt– Santa Fe offers sunny warm weather and an excuse to get creative in the company of like-minded people. Abstract watercolor paintings will be created the first day using 10 different techniques that will leave you with several paintings to choose from. Techniques include; transparent layered shapes, tape resists, rubber cement drawing resist, washes, glazing, dropping in of colors, surface treatments using soap bubbles, rubbing alcohol and grids, and more. MISA West in Santa Fe is located Downtown, just one block from the historic Santa Fe Plaza and Canyon Road, The Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza is our host location and it’s easy to get here. From Watercolor to Quilt One watercolor painting will be chosen and cropped, in order to find the most dynamic and interesting composition. The chosen section will be drawn and enlarged to create a template and be translated to fabric; utilizing the turned-edge technique or your own preferred method. When your quilt is complete, it will resemble a watercolor painting–no painting experience necessary. –Learn More–
