(You Are Receiving this Because You Are Part of Our Community)

There are a lot of fun activities planned through the summer months and beyond. For more information please visit our website at www. ppines.com and our social media.

Hurricane Relief Volunteers

With past hurricanes, the City of Pembroke Pines has benefited greatly by having staff and many volunteers help immediately after a storm. This help has included food distribution, Relief Drives, water distribution, administrative work, debris clean up etc.

Anyone interested in volunteering after a storm hits our area, please go to www.ppines.com/hurricane at Pembroke Pines Prepared and follow instructions to submit the online form. Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Thank you for your continued commitment in making Pembroke Pines a beautiful place to live, work and play.

There is still time - Your opinion matters!

The City of Pembroke Pines is developing a Community Public Art Plan. The intent of the plan is to advance the current public art program to be vibrant, interactive and inclusive, to represent all of the Pembroke Pines community, and to develop a vision and direction for art in the public realm. Your opinion and input are a critical part of this planning process.

We want to hear from everyone, so please complete the survey and share with others! Take Survey Here

Pembroke Pines Prepared

Please visit the City of Pembroke Pines' comprehensive Hurricane Prep section on its website at www.ppines.com/hurricane called “Pembroke Pines Prepared.” Information regarding what to do before, during and after a storm is available for all with resources, videos, contacts, etc. The time to get ready is now.

Also, please consider purchasing Flood Insurance. Most homeowners insurance does not cover flood damage. Flood insurance is a separate policy that can cover buildings, the contents in a building, or both, so it is important to protect your most important financial assets — your home, your business, your possessions. Plan ahead as there is typically a 30-day waiting period for a National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) policy to go into effect, unless the coverage is mandated it is purchased as required by a federally backed lender or is related to a community flood map change. https://www.fema.gov/flood-insurance
