As December ends, tradition spurs us to set resolutions for the coming year. Accordingly, we clarify priorities, refine habits, and devise ways to make new plans stick. If your intentions are like my own-- learning something new and finding ways to help others-- why not consider allowing the CEEE to support you in that resolve in 2017?
Like physical health, economic and financial fitness demand regular exercise. Each year the CEEE produces hundreds of workshops designed to better prepare K-12 educators and students in economics, personal finance, and entrepreneurship. Our 2017 programming, designed to strengthen teachers' and students' economic and financial muscles, has been mapped out for the academic year.
And if you're interested in influencing related education beyond your own classroom, we urge you to explore our Master of Arts in Economics and Entrepreneurship for Educators (MAEEE) degree. Applications for this two-year summer program-- scheduled to begin study in June-- are being accepted now thru February 27th. We also invite the community to attend the 2017 Economic Forecast, which brings together distinguished voices that influence, determine, and interpret U.S. economic policy. Attendees gain insight that can help in devising effective financial strategy.
Two ways to sustain resolutions are to surround yourself with good support and to keep your eye on the prize that awaits you at the finish-- to see all students graduate as economically literate and productive citizens. Please, rest assured that we are committed to working with you to achieve that goal.
Happy New Year!
