-
In public, Colorado Springs Mayor Mobolade is championing a new police academy, citing a desperate need within a severely overburdened police force. Internally, however, they are referring to it as Quantico West. What a fun name, right? Why would they be doing that? Read all about it in our latest original article.
-
The city of Boulder, Colorado will start handing out $10 gift cards to urban campers who pick up their own trash. These gift cards will, of course, be purchased with taxpayer money.
-
Housing advocates in Colorado Springs are beginning to organize tenants to push for “tenant rights.”
-
Your 2024 ballot will contain an initiative to cap property tax growth at 4%. So, that’s something to look forward to next year.

-
In Prop HH news this week, the Pikes Peak Library District has come out against the measure. What? A taxpayer-funded entity coming out against a tax increase. Yes. Prop HH is that bad.
-
Former Colorado State Treasurer Mark Hillman has put in his two cents on the scam that is Prop HH. And, make no mistake about it, Prop HH is a scam.
-
A vote for Prop HH this November is a vote for dramatically increasing taxpayer money flowing to the Colorado Government, while barely touching huge increases in property taxes. Don’t fall for it.
-
Do you appreciate sin taxes? If Proposition HH passes, the Colorado government will also get to keep all of the $24 million per year generated in tobacco taxes. Do they deserve even more money on top of keeping your TABOR refunds forever? Given what you’ve seen so far from the Colorado Legislature, do you think they are good stewards of your tax dollars, and deserve even more?
-
If you live in Academy School District 20, you can listen to what your current board members have to say about the upcoming issues impacting parents and students.
